Transmission Shaft Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2023
The average transmission shaft import price stood at $11,086 per ton in September 2023, dropping by -10.3% against the previous month. Overall, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 13% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $13,970 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($18,055 per ton), while the price for China ($4,635 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+1.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Transmission Shaft Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2023
The average transmission shaft export price stood at $8,385 per ton in September 2023, waning by -5.9% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.3%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2022 an increase of 12% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $8,907 per ton in August 2023, and then fell in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($25,224 per ton), while the average price for exports to Romania ($5,128 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Transmission Shaft Imports in Turkey
Transmission shaft imports into Turkey rose sharply to 85K tons in 2022, with an increase of 14% against 2021. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +12.0% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, transmission shaft imports soared to $996M in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a buoyant increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +15.6% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +54.5% against 2019 indices. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Transmission Shaft Exports in Turkey
