Transmission Shaft Price in Germany (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average transmission shaft export price amounted to $18,938 per ton, almost unchanged from the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.1%. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 an increase of 12% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in August 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($30,716 per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovakia ($5,066 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Transmission Shaft Price in Germany (CIF) - 2023
In August 2023, the average transmission shaft import price amounted to $11,239 per ton, picking up by 4.7% against the previous month. Over the period from August 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 an increase of 12% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum in August 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Japan ($18,985 per ton), while the price for Spain ($5,253 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Transmission Shaft Exports in Germany
In 2022, the amount of transmission shafts and cranks, bearing housings and plain shaft bearings, gears and gearing and articulated link chain exported from Germany shrank to 648K tons, waning by -6.4% on 2021.
