The average swine; live export price stood at $1,911 per unit in September 2023, growing by 69% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated a buoyant expansion from September 2022 to September 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +8.8% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2023 figures, swine; live export price increased by +68.9% against August 2023 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in October 2022 when the average export price increased by 193% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $2,241 per unit in February 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to September 2023.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Estonia ($3,989 per unit), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($1,671 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
