The average sulphides; polysulphides import price stood at $995 per ton in September 2023, rising by 27% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 when the average import price increased by 110% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $2,331 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($12,005 per ton), while the price for China amounted to $559 per ton.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+0.1%).

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 88% against the previous year. The export price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($33,898 per ton), while the average price for exports to Myanmar ($843 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Indonesia (+47.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
