In 2022, the average sulphides; polysulphides import price amounted to $1,156 per ton, with an increase of 40% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $1,215 per ton in 2012; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($1,323 per ton), while the price for China amounted to $1,073 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+2.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The average sulphides; polysulphides export price stood at $521 per ton in 2022, picking up by 12% against the previous year. Overall, the export price enjoyed a pronounced expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 304% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $1,342 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Sudan ($741 per ton), while the average price for exports to Libya stood at $31 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Sudan (+4.5%).
