Stationery Product Price in Ukraine (CIF) - 2022

The average stationery product import price stood at $3,434 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -20.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a pronounced descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when the average import price increased by 46%. The import price peaked at $4,864 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($3,514 per ton), while the price for Indonesia ($1,146 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+6.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average stationery product export price stood at $3,433 per ton in 2022, jumping by 21% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The export price peaked at $3,448 per ton in 2012; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($5,724 per ton), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($1,879 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Moldova (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Stationery Product Imports in Ukraine

For the third consecutive year, Ukraine recorded decline in supplies from abroad of stationery products, which decreased by -29.9% to 2.2K tons in 2022. Overall, imports showed a deep downturn. The smallest decline of -3.4% was in 2021.

In value terms, stationery product imports contracted significantly to $7.5M in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 15%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $14M, and then reduced rapidly in the following year.

Stationery product exports from Ukraine contracted remarkably to 576 tons in 2022, waning by -25.1% against 2021 figures. Overall, exports faced a abrupt setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 10%.

In value terms, stationery product exports declined to $2M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports saw a pronounced descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 7.6%.
