Stationery Product Price in Russia (CIF) - 2022

The average stationery product import price stood at $4,392 per ton in January 2022, shrinking by -5.4% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2021 when the average import price increased by 24% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $4,822 per ton in November 2021; however, from December 2021 to January 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2022, the country with the highest price was Germany ($5,609 per ton), while the price for Ukraine ($1,943 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belarus (+5.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average stationery product export price stood at $2,589 per ton in January 2022, waning by -17.9% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2021 when the average export price increased by 28% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $3,394 per ton in November 2021; however, from December 2021 to January 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In January 2022, the country with the highest price was Kyrgyzstan ($3,919 per ton), while the average price for exports to Tajikistan ($1,342 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kyrgyzstan (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Stationery product imports into Russia shrank to 12K tons in 2022, waning by -9% on 2021 figures. Overall, imports continue to indicate a noticeable setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 20% against the previous year.
