Stationery Product Price in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022

In March 2022, the average stationery product export price amounted to $1,505 per ton, waning by -4% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2021 when the average export price increased by 32% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $2,233 per ton. From August 2021 to March 2022, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($4,000 per ton), while the average price for exports to Tanzania ($703 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Vietnam (+15.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average stationery product import price stood at $2,896 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 13% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $3,140 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($9,324 per ton), while the price for Finland ($1,050 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+12.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Stationery Product Exports in Indonesia

In 2022, stationery product exports from Indonesia rose notably to 139K tons, picking up by 14% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, total exports indicated strong growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +8.3% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +57.1% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 38%. In value terms, stationery product exports declined to $125M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a pronounced contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 26% against the previous year.
