Starch Manufacture Residues Price in India (FOB) - 2023
The average starch manufacture residues export price stood at $511 per ton in July 2023, surging by 18% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a measured increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in October 2022 an increase of 182% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $838 per ton. From November 2022 to July 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Turkey ($1,211 per ton), while the average price for exports to Vietnam ($249 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bangladesh (+5.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Starch Manufacture Residues Price in India (CIF) - 2023
The average starch manufacture residues import price stood at $1,695 per ton in July 2023, reducing by -22.6% against the previous month. Overall, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 84% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $6,133 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($3,194 per ton), while the price for Singapore amounted to $1,619 per ton.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+6.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Starch Manufacture Residues Exports in India
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of residues of starch manufacture, when their volume decreased by -62.1% to 14K tons. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 193%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 37K tons, and then contracted sharply in the following year.
In value terms, starch manufacture residues exports declined significantly to $6.1M in 2022. In general, exports, however, enjoyed significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 93%.
