Moreover, Thailand emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +13.1% from 2012-2022. The UK and Russia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Japan (-1.5%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of the United States (+18 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global imports from 2012-2022, the share of Germany (-1.5 p.p.), Japan (-2 p.p.) and the UK (-2.1 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. At the same time, the United Arab Emirates (+19.3%), India (+8.3%), Turkey (+6.0%) and the Netherlands (+5.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the United Arab Emirates emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +19.3% from 2012-2022. Germany experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. From 2012 to 2022, the share of China increased by +13 percentage points. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($7.3B) remains the largest stainless steel household articles supplier worldwide, comprising 71% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by India ($431M), with a 4.2% share of global exports. It was followed by Germany, with a 3.6% share.
