In July 2023, the average speed changer import price amounted to $10,241 per ton, waning by -4% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a slight downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 62% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $13,191 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($97,112 per ton), while the price for South Korea ($1,922 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
