In December 2022, the average speed changer import price amounted to $11,010 per ton, waning by -5.8% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2022 when the average import price increased by 61% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $17,743 per ton in December 2021; however, from January 2022 to December 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($25,069 per ton), while the price for China ($5,160 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
