In 2022, the average speed changer import price amounted to $9,968 per ton, increasing by 3.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a noticeable contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average import price increased by 40% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $12,565 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($53,203 per ton), while the price for China ($4,134 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2013 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

Over the period under review, export price indicated a resilient expansion from 2013 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +8.8% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 95%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($150,037 per ton), while the average price for exports to Armenia ($1,123 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2013 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+23.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
