Soft Drink Price in Poland (FOB) - 2023

In August 2023, the average soft drink export price amounted to $790 per thousand litres, remaining constant against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.7%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 when the average export price increased by 13% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in August 2023.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($1.2 per litre), while the average price for exports to Ireland ($324 per thousand litres) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+7.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Soft Drink Price in Poland (CIF) - 2023

The average soft drink import price stood at $1.4 per litre in August 2023, remaining stable against the previous month. Over the period from August 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.4%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2022 an increase of 11% against the previous month. The import price peaked in August 2023.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($2.7 per litre), while the price for China ($586 per thousand litres) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Soft Drink Exports in Poland

For the fourth consecutive year, Poland recorded growth in shipments abroad of soft drinks, which increased by 6.4% to 1.4B litres in 2022. In general, exports saw significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 89% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In value terms, soft drink exports expanded sharply to $832M in 2022. Overall, exports enjoyed a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 100%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
