Soft Drink Price in Israel (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average soft drink import price amounted to $1.3 per litre, increasing by 11% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.3%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 31%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from Belgium ($1.3 per litre) and Austria ($1.3 per litre), while the price for the Netherlands ($1.2 per litre) and Georgia ($1.2 per litre) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+2.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Soft Drink Price in Israel (FOB) - 2022

The average soft drink export price stood at $1.4 per litre in 2022, waning by -1.8% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a moderate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, soft drink export price decreased by -2.1% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $1.5 per litre in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Cyprus ($1.5 per litre) and Sweden ($1.5 per litre), while the average price for exports to the United States ($1.3 per litre) and the UK ($1.4 per litre) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Cyprus (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Soft Drink Imports in Israel

In 2022, overseas purchases of soft drinks decreased by -10.4% to 107M litres, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.7% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 39%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 122M litres. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, soft drink imports shrank to $136M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +13.2% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 22%. Imports peaked at $137M in 2021, and then declined modestly in the following year.
