In 2022, the average silicates; sodium metasilicates import price amounted to $665 per ton, waning by -47.9% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 61% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,277 per ton, and then contracted sharply in the following year.

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of silicates; sodium metasilicateses, when their volume decreased by -6.8% to 179 tons. Overall, total exports indicated a prominent expansion from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +12.3% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +41.7% against 2019 indices.
