In 2022, the average selenium import price amounted to $29,028 per ton, surging by 27% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a deep slump. The import price peaked at $131,860 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($28,588 per ton), while the price for Russia ($23,909 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (-1.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average selenium export price amounted to $24,290 per ton, which is down by -9.1% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a sharp downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the average export price increased by 120%. The export price peaked at $251,737 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Germany.

Selenium Imports in Ukraine
In 2022, approx. 6.3 tons of selenia were imported into Ukraine; declining by -43.7% on the previous year's figure. Overall, imports saw a deep reduction.
