The average seals; mechanical export price stood at $3.2 per unit in 2022, which is down by -37% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the average export price increased by 96%. The export price peaked at $5.5 per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($9.4 per unit), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($1.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+4.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Over the period under review, import price indicated a modest expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, seals; mechanical import price decreased by -9.7% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 25% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $5.2 per unit in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
