Scent Spray Price in Colombia (CIF) - 2022

In February 2022, the average scent spray import price amounted to $20,430 per ton, rising by 310% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a resilient expansion. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Brazil ($61,306 per ton), while the price for China ($5,190 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From February 2021 to February 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+5.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Scent Spray Price in Colombia (FOB) - 2022

The average scent spray export price stood at $42,390 per ton in February 2022, with a decrease of -15.9% against the previous month. In general, export price indicated a pronounced increase from February 2021 to February 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.9% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on February 2022 figures, scent spray export price decreased by -15.9% against January 2022 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2021 an increase of 61% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $50,418 per ton in January 2022, and then fell dramatically in the following month.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In February 2022, the country with the highest price was Peru ($52,471 per ton), while the average price for exports to Mexico ($35,351 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From February 2021 to February 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Peru (+7.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Scent Spray Imports in Colombia

After three years of growth, overseas purchases of scent sprays decreased by -10.3% to 1.7K tons in 2022. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +9.8% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 29% against the previous year.

In value terms, scent spray imports declined to $20M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a mild contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 15%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $22M, and then contracted in the following year.

Scent Spray Exports in Colombia

In 2022, approx. 59 tons of scent sprays were exported from Colombia; which is down by -9.2% on the previous year. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 13%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 65 tons, and then dropped in the following year.

In value terms, scent spray exports shrank modestly to $2.4M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +1.2% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period.
