In 2022, the average sauce and seasoning import price amounted to $3,157 per ton, approximately reflecting the previous year. In general, the import price saw strong growth. Sauce and Seasoning Price in Australia (FOB) - 2023
The average sauce and seasoning export price stood at $3,121 per ton in August 2023, waning by -8% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 when the average export price increased by 14% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $3,809 per ton. From February 2023 to August 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($4,518 per ton), while the average price for exports to New Caledonia ($327 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Sauce and Seasoning Imports in Australia
