Sauce and Seasoning Price in Argentina (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average sauce and seasoning export price amounted to $1,736 per ton, picking up by 41% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a slight expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, sauce and seasoning export price increased by +77.5% against 2020 indices. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Uruguay ($1,788 per ton) and Chile ($1,733 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bolivia ($1,481 per ton) and Paraguay ($1,726 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bolivia (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Sauce and Seasoning Price in Argentina (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average sauce and seasoning import price amounted to $2,114 per ton, remaining constant against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a slight descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 9.1%. The import price peaked at $2,619 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Uruguay ($5,245 per ton), while the price for Brazil ($1,268 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+5.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Sauce and Seasoning Exports in Argentina

In 2022, the amount of sauces and seasonings exported from Argentina expanded markedly to 19K tons, increasing by 12% against the previous year. In general, exports, however, recorded a abrupt slump.

In value terms, sauce and seasoning exports skyrocketed to $33M in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated resilient growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +11.4% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
