Rare Gases Price in Angola (CIF) - 2022
The average rare gases import price stood at $8.3 per cubic meter in 2022, increasing by 33% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price enjoyed a notable increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the average import price increased by 59%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($54 per cubic meter), while the price for Germany ($1 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+15.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Rare Gases Price in Angola (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average rare gases export price amounted to $16 per cubic meter, growing by 27% against the previous year. In general, the export price enjoyed moderate growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 77% against the previous year. The export price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Congo ($24 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to France ($0.2 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+10.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Rare Gases Imports in Angola
For the third consecutive year, Angola recorded decline in supplies from abroad of rare gases (excluding argon), which decreased by -26.6% to 89K cubic meters in 2022. Over the period under review, imports faced a precipitous slump. The smallest decline of -19.4% was in 2021. Imports peaked at 251K cubic meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, rare gases imports reduced to $742K in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a precipitous descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 5.7% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $1.5M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
