The average quartzite import price stood at $883 per ton in 2022, surging by 70% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $1,978 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($2,200 per ton), while the price for Japan ($487 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
