Quartzite Price in India (FOB) - 2023
The average quartzite export price stood at $198 per ton in July 2023, surging by 8.3% against the previous month. Overall, the export price saw a temperate expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in September 2022 an increase of 182% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in July 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($492 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($47.0 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+8.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Quartzite Price in India (CIF) - 2022
The average quartzite import price stood at $668 per ton in 2022, growing by 26% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 70% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $828 per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($1,047 per ton), while the price for China ($474 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Brazil (+3.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Quartzite Exports in India
After two years of decline, overseas shipments of quartzite increased by 75% to 151K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern.
