Printing Ink Price in Lithuania (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average printing ink import price amounted to $6,075 per ton, which is down by -3.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 8.5% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $6,617 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($14,629 per ton), while the price for Italy ($2,169 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Sweden (+6.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Printing Ink Price in Lithuania (FOB) - 2023

The average printing ink export price stood at $12,811 per ton in September 2023, picking up by 93% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The export price peaked at $17,472 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Latvia ($18,108 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($3,632 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belarus (+0.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Printing Ink Imports in Lithuania

In 2022, imports of printing ink into Lithuania reduced modestly to 4.2K tons, remaining relatively unchanged against the year before. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.2% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being observed in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 8.2%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 4.3K tons, and then contracted slightly in the following year.

In value terms, printing ink imports contracted to $26M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 6%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $27M, and then reduced in the following year.
