The average zirconium ore and concentrate import price stood at $2,569 per ton in 2022, jumping by 70% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $2,793 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw perceptible growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 110%. The export price peaked at $3,088 per ton in 2021, and then declined notably in the following year.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Argentina ($3,140 per ton), while the average price for exports to Peru totaled $2,214 per ton.
