Price for Zinc; Waste and Scrap in Lithuania (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average zinc; waste and scrap export price amounted to $2,177 per ton, growing by 21% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a buoyant increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +8.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, zinc; waste and scrap export price increased by +56.8% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the average export price increased by 49%. The export price peaked at $2,243 per ton in 2018; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($2,514 per ton), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($1,233 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Singapore (+29.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
