Price for Wood; Posts and Beams in Russia (FOB) - 2021
The average wood; posts and beams export price stood at $1,536 per ton in December 2021, reducing by -3.3% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, showed prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2021 an increase of 14% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $1,702 per ton in September 2021; however, from October 2021 to December 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In December 2021, the highest price was recorded for prices to Uzbekistan ($1,887 per ton) and Australia ($1,728 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($1,290 per ton) and France ($1,438 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From December 2020 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Uzbekistan (+7.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In December 2021, the average wood; posts and beams import price amounted to $2,166 per ton, jumping by 20% against the previous month. Overall, import price indicated a slight expansion from December 2020 to December 2021: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on December 2021 figures, wood; posts and beams import price increased by +15.0% against September 2021 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in August 2021 an increase of 25% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum in December 2021.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2021, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($2,489 per ton), while the price for Germany ($1,358 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2020 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belarus (+22.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Wood; Posts and Beams in Russia
In 2022, the amount of wood; posts and beamses exported from Russia reduced to 20K tons, with a decrease of -12.2% compared with 2021.
