In December 2021, the average wood; posts and beams import price amounted to $1,465 per ton, waning by -18.5% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in March 2021 when the average import price increased by 38% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $2,586 per ton in January 2021; however, from February 2021 to December 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In December 2021, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($8,084 per ton), while the average price for exports to Sweden ($1,448 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+0.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
