The average import price for wood stood at $62 per cubic meter in 2022, shrinking by -4.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated a measured increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, import price for wood increased by +31.9% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 38%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $65 per cubic meter, and then declined in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($147 per cubic meter), while the price for China ($37 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Latvia (+9.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Brunei Darussalam.
