Price for Wire of Other Alloy Steel in Belarus (FOB) - 2022
In March 2022, the average export price for wire of other alloy steels amounted to $1,305 per ton, falling by -20.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2021 an increase of 23% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,781 per ton. From October 2021 to March 2022, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In March 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices to Kazakhstan ($1,459 per ton) and Uzbekistan ($1,364 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($1,124 per ton) and Russia ($1,184 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In March 2022, the average import price for wire of other alloy steels amounted to $1,224 per ton, reducing by -28.3% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2021 an increase of 23% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $2,245 per ton in December 2021; however, from January 2022 to March 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($2,890 per ton), while the price for Russia ($1,080 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Wire of Other Alloy Steel in Belarus
In 2022, the amount of wire of other alloy steels exported from Belarus rose rapidly to 17K tons, increasing by 11% compared with the previous year. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +12.4% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years.
