Price for Winding Wire, Other than of Copper in Turkey (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average export price for winding wire, other than of coppers amounted to $5,915 per ton, with an increase of 24% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Turkmenistan ($7,064 per ton) and Bulgaria ($6,952 per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($4,727 per ton) and Poland ($5,350 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to North Macedonia (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In February 2024, the average import price for winding wire, other than of coppers amounted to $4,005 per ton, waning by -4.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a deep contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2023 an increase of 7.5% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $7,675 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to February 2024, import prices remained at a lower figure.
