Price for Winding Wire of Copper in Norway (CIF) - 2023

The average winding wire of copper import price stood at $16,056 per ton in August 2023, reducing by -36.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, posted noticeable growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2023 an increase of 69% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $25,400 per ton, and then declined sharply in the following month.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($39,463 per ton), while the price for Sweden ($8,228 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Switzerland (+5.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
