The average export price for waste, parings and scrap, of plasticses stood at $294 per ton in October 2023, with a decrease of -21% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a perceptible descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2023 an increase of 18% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $473 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to October 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In October 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Indonesia ($362 per ton) and Malaysia ($338 per ton), while the average price for exports to Vietnam ($264 per ton) and Turkey ($278 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Malaysia (+1.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
