The average export price for waste (including noils, yarn waste and garnetted stock), of man-made fibreses stood at $1,331 per ton in 2022, almost unchanged from the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 28%. The export price peaked at $1,820 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ecuador ($3,034 per ton), while the average price for exports to India stood at $1,257 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ecuador (+10.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,646 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($12,785 per ton), while the price for China ($322 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+26.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
