The average import price for vinyl chloride polymers; waste, parings and scraps stood at $494 per ton in November 2023, shrinking by -2.6% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a slight downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 an increase of 29% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $692 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to November 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was the UK ($778 per ton), while the price for Switzerland amounted to $196 per ton.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+3.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
