The average export price for vegetables (uncooked or cooked by steaming or boiling in water); frozen stood at $1,216 per ton in October 2023, surging by 3.9% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.2%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2023 an increase of 8.5% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $1,310 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to October 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In October 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Ukraine ($1,342 per ton) and Egypt ($1,273 per ton), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia ($1,057 per ton) and Belarus ($1,084 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Egypt (+3.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, import price indicated a strong expansion from October 2022 to October 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +5.4% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on October 2023 figures, import price for vegetables (uncooked or cooked by steaming or boiling in water); frozen increased by +60.4% against April 2023 indices. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
