The average import price for colouring matter of vegetable or animal origin stood at $2,135 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 19% against the previous year. From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Canada (+19.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports of Vegetable or Animal Colouring Matter in Bangladesh

In 2022, the amount of colouring matter of vegetable or animal origin imported into Bangladesh plummeted to 954 tons, dropping by -23.5% compared with 2021 figures. In general, imports, however, saw a moderate expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 121%.
