The average import price for unsaturated chlorinated derivatives of acyclic hydrocarbons; tetrachloroethylene (perchloroethylene)s stood at $1,506 per ton in 2022, growing by 50% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $1,616 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($2,029 per ton), while the price for the United States ($474 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+34.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

After three years of growth, supplies from abroad of unsaturated chlorinated derivatives of acyclic hydrocarbons; tetrachloroethylene (perchloroethylene)s decreased by -62.2% to 167 tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a abrupt curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 54% against the previous year.
In value terms, imports of unsaturated chlorinated derivatives of acyclic hydrocarbons; tetrachloroethylene (perchloroethylene)s declined remarkably to $251K in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a resilient increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 75% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $443K, and then shrank remarkably in the following year.
