In 2022, the average export price for tubes and pipes of copper alloys other than copper-zinc, cupro-nickel or nickel-silver amounted to $13,453 per ton, growing by 8.3% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.3%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 22%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($27,617 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($8,787 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Egypt (+10.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for tubes and pipes of copper alloys other than copper-zinc, cupro-nickel or nickel-silver stood at $10,053 per ton in January 2024, picking up by 1.5% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 19% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $13,906 per ton. From May 2023 to January 2024, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Japan ($34,245 per ton), while the price for New Zealand ($9,351 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From February 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Japan (+8.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Tubes and Pipes of Copper Alloys Other than Copper-Zinc, Cupro-Nickel or Nickel-Silver in Thailand
In 2022, overseas shipments of tubes and pipes of copper alloys other than copper-zinc, cupro-nickel or nickel-silver decreased by -24.3% to 2.8K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In value terms, exports of tubes and pipes of copper alloys other than copper-zinc, cupro-nickel or nickel-silver dropped rapidly to $38M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 67% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $46M, and then fell markedly in the following year.
