The average import price for tomatoes; prepared or preserved otherwise than by vinegar or acetic acid stood at $1,534 per ton in December 2023, rising by 3.9% against the previous month. Over the period from December 2022 to December 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.4%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 6.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $1,589 per ton in August 2023; however, from September 2023 to December 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
