The average import price for tomatoes; prepared or preserved otherwise than by vinegar or acetic acid stood at $1,869 per ton in November 2023, dropping by -6.6% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7%. The growth pace was the most rapid in September 2023 an increase of 12% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $2,001 per ton in October 2023, and then reduced in the following month.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Poland ($2,388 per ton) and Ukraine ($2,278 per ton), while the price for Spain ($1,638 per ton) and Germany ($1,716 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+3.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In November 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Germany ($2,573 per ton) and Hungary ($2,115 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($1,838 per ton) and Poland ($1,931 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hungary (+4.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
