Price for Toilet and Kitchen Linen in Vietnam (FOB) - 2022

The average toilet and kitchen linen export price stood at $1.3 per unit in 2022, dropping by -3.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average export price increased by 6.8% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1.4 per unit, and then declined in the following year.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($1.6 per unit), while the average price for exports to Japan ($1.3 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Korea (+3.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average toilet and kitchen linen import price stood at $1.5 per unit in 2022, dropping by -2.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a noticeable reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 7.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $1.8 per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($1.5 per unit), while the price for Poland ($0.9 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (-0.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Exports of Toilet and Kitchen Linen in Vietnam

In 2022, exports of toilet and kitchen linen from Vietnam contracted to 177M units, waning by -2.9% against 2021 figures. In general, exports showed a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 6.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at 223M units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, toilet and kitchen linen exports dropped to $239M in 2022. Overall, exports saw a perceptible setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 14%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $277M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
