Price for Toilet and Kitchen Linen in Belarus (CIF) - 2022

The average toilet and kitchen linen import price stood at $1.1 per unit in March 2022, surging by 3.4% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.5%. The growth pace was the most rapid in September 2021 when the average import price increased by 21% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $1.2 per unit in November 2021; however, from December 2021 to March 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices from Russia ($1.4 per unit) and Uzbekistan ($1.3 per unit), while the price for China ($968 per thousand units) and Turkey ($1.0 per unit) were amongst the lowest.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Uzbekistan (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In March 2022, the average toilet and kitchen linen export price amounted to $1.3 per unit, with an increase of 11% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price saw a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2021 an increase of 156% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in March 2022.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($2.6 per unit), while the average price for exports to Russia ($1.2 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kazakhstan (+17.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports of Toilet and Kitchen Linen in Belarus

In 2022, the amount of toilet and kitchen linen imported into Belarus dropped rapidly to 6.5M units, with a decrease of -72.3% compared with the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports saw a dramatic contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 13%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at 32M units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, toilet and kitchen linen imports contracted significantly to $7.7M in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a precipitous decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 14%. Imports peaked at $28M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
