The average import price for tobacco; partly or wholly stemmed or stripped stood at $8,446 per ton in 2022, picking up by 3.5% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.6%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 11%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Croatia.
