In July 2023, the average export price for tobacco, (not stemmed or stripped)s amounted to $2,304 per ton, reducing by -7.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 41% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $3,407 per ton. From May 2023 to July 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($3,672 per ton), while the average price for exports to Yemen ($1,578 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Azerbaijan (+172.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
