The average titanium ore and concentrate import price stood at $1,205 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 26% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.9%. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($1,522 per ton), while the price for Germany ($670 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The average titanium ore and concentrate export price stood at $976 per ton in August 2023, declining by -2.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 an increase of 74% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $1,384 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to August 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Germany.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Canada amounted to +6.7% per month.
