The average tin; waste and scrap export price stood at $27,419 per ton in 2022, increasing by 38% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a prominent expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by 71% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Germany.

From 2015 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Germany amounted to +14.4% per year.

Exports of Tin; Waste and Scrap in Serbia

In 2022, overseas shipments of tin; waste and scraps decreased by -22.9% to 9.8 tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 463% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 17 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, tin; waste and scrap exports expanded markedly to $268K in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 343% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
