The average export price for textiles; worn clothing and other worn articleses stood at $1,030 per ton in January 2024, shrinking by -3.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2023 an increase of 9.3% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,139 per ton. From August 2023 to January 2024, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In January 2024, the country with the highest price was Germany ($1,591 per ton), while the average price for exports to Tunisia ($789 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+1.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
