In 2022, the average import price for textile machinery; for extruding, drawing, texturing or cutting man-made textile materialses amounted to $2,513 per unit, which is down by -33.4% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate temperate growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 an increase of 158%. The import price peaked at $4,243 per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($4,320 per unit), while the price for Germany ($11 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kenya (+30.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
